Meet Taylor

Hello and welcome! I’m Taylor, a daughter of Yahuah, a wife to Thomas, and a mother to four beautiful children.

For ten years, my husband played professional basketball overseas, and together we built our family while living in different countries around the world. During those years, I experienced pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, and motherhood far from family and familiar support systems. Most of the time, it was simply my husband and me navigating it all together.

I know what it feels like to need a village and not have one.

I’ve always been fascinated by birth and babies. Long before becoming a doula, I found myself constantly learning about pregnancy, labor, breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery. What started as a personal need eventually became a passion, and then a calling.

My own birth experiences have been incredibly diverse, and each one taught me something different.

My first birth was a 53-hour hospital birth in Finland that included many interventions and opened my eyes to the realities of modern maternity care. My second was a beautiful 13-hour home water birth. My third was a fast and furious 6-hour home birth that reminded me just how powerful birth can be. My fourth was a peaceful 16-hour unassisted birth at home, where my husband had the incredible honor of catching our daughter.

Through my own pregnancies and births, I received maternity care in Finland, Mexico, Turkey, and Israel. Experiencing different approaches to pregnancy, birth, postpartum care, and family support gave me a unique perspective on motherhood. One thing I noticed again and again was the importance of community. In many places around the world, women are surrounded by support during these life-changing seasons, and it makes all the difference.

Those experiences helped shape the heart behind The Village Birth Co.

Today, my passion is helping women feel informed, encouraged, and supported as they navigate pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, and life with a new baby. Whether through education, practical support, resources, or simply being a steady presence along the way, my goal is to help mothers feel less alone and more empowered.

Supporting women and families during this sacred season of life is one of the greatest honors and callings Yahuah has placed on my heart.

I would be honored to be part of your village.
